Undernovela

The Undernovela universe refers to an alternate universe created by Pig-Demon. Undernovela serves as a minor universe featured in Underverse, though it has importance in the story as it when Error!Sans, whom is one of the biggest fans of Undernovela, finds out about the true meaning of the X-Event.

History[]

Highly regarded by Error as one of his favorite universe to watch in despite of his destructive nature, he patiently waits for the show to start as Ink!Sans joins him. Error is highly unaware of Ink's true nature of overthrowing him for having to make a truce with him as he joins him into watching Undernovela.

The synopsis is that during a brawl between Asgoro and Sin over Toriel, Papiro interrupts them and warns the two that Frisk has been kidnapped. The rest of the monsters hold an emergency meeting as the two discuss how to find Frisk. Dogamy and Dogaressa opts to find Frisk for the bitter Asgoro, and they trace his senses to an abandoned warehouse.

The kidnappers, Cross and X-Event!Chara, both argue about what to do with Frisk. Cross wants XChara to absorb the soul of Frisk for his human soul, but XChara is reluctant to take it in due to how absurd this Frisk looks, as Frisk ponders about the two strangers. When Error notices the anomalies, Asgoro and Sin barge in and tell the two strangers to surrender. Ink also enters the universe at the same time and interrupts Asgoro and Sin. Confused over the appearance of Ink, Asgoro and Sin both get overwritten, from Ink using XGaster's power.

At this point, Ink congrats Error for cooperating on their game, as Error is spooked by the appearance of XGaster. He ends up waking up, to find out that while everything he saw was merely a dream, as he looks at the X-Event soul, he realized that Ink had really set him up with the X-Event. In the process he ties up all the alternate universes in the Doodle Sphere and threatens to destroy it all in one go. And once Ink is able to bring XGaster back to life, Undernovela, alongside other universe that were not set in the quarantine by XGaster were destroyed by Error.

Characteristics[]

This universe is primarily a caricature of Spanish telenovelas, changing Undertale characters like Asgore from a tragic king to a crime boss only willing to attempt to take revenge on Sin, the Undernovela counterpart of Sans, for taking Toriel. In its depiction for Underverse, the universe is known for starting exactly like a television show would.

The universe has a unique trait among other AUs featured in Underverse, that being spoken dialogue in Spanish is used instead of text on a screen.

The Asgore version of Undernovela, his plot for revenge on Sin is interrupted when he finds out his son, Frisk, was kidnapped by two malevolent beings. He and Sin try their best to rescue Frisk, but once they arrive, they were "overwritten" by Ink using XGaster's powers, though it appears to a fragment of Error's dreams.

The Sans version of Undernovela. With his wedding interrupted by Asgoro, the two brawled it out until his own brother, Papiro, warns the two that Frisk had been kidnapped. The two are forced to put aside their difference as they try to find out the kidnappers that took Frisk. Once the two find out where Frisk is however, Ink overwrites him and Asgoro using XGaster's powers, but it appears to be merely a dream that Error saw.

Undernovela!Frisk[]

The Frisk version of Undernovela, he witness two weird strangers that had kidnapped him speaking in a weird language. He remains a vital plot point for this version of Undernovela, as much of the Undernovela cast has to call an emergency meeting to rescue Frisk. Though their kidnapping is merely a dream that Error saw in the process, as Frisk is never seen again after Ink arrives on the scene.
